The first Star Trek Fan Film I wrote for Potemkin Pictures was called "Under Fire" featuring the Hospital Ship Marie Curie caught between two warring factions while trying to render medical aid. You can watch it HERE. In that story, security officer lt. Jackson saves an ambassador's life when a federation embassy is bombed. At the urging of her captain, Jack agreed to study for med school.
Now, five years later, Jackson (now promoted to Commander) and I return in an all-new short film.
But not just any short film. This one was filmed entirely at a sci-fi convention. And, once again, Jackson comes to the aid of an ambassador in trouble.
Veronica Dashiell, Charles Kelso, Randy Landers, and I were all guests at Stellar Fest in Duluth, GA last month. I was asked to pen a short that could be filmed on site, utilizing attendees who were interested in seeing how fan films are made.
These are fun. I enjoy playing in the star Trek universe, even unofficially.
I hope you enjoy it.
Bobby

Abraham Snow and his new partner are interrogated at sea. Can they hold out until Snow's friends rush to the rescue or have they run out of time? Find out in an all-new chapter of Snow Island, the serialized novella adventure by Bobby Nash available now. New chapters of Snow Island release weekly on PATREON.
Read the opening chapter free RIGHT HERE with subsequent weekly-ish chapters for paid members. In SNOW ISLAND, Snow heads to Hawaii with Archer in tow for a visit with Samson Brooks (former Mother agent) and his brother, Walker Brooks (former CIA), who are now working together as p.i./fugitive recovery consultants. Snow gets caught up in their latest case as another enemy searches for him. Might there be sharks involved? Maybe.
I've often said that Snow is my love letter to old p.i./detective shows of the 70's and 80's. Snow island gives us a two-fer. First, a trip to Hawaii, a staple of 70's and 80's fare. Also, this one could conceivably be considered a backdoor pilot. If the Brooks Brothers are well received, who knows, perhaps they'll get their own book. Not unusual for Bobby Nash and BEN Books. Stay tuned. #TheSummerOfSnow heats up with #FreshSnow!
X marks the spot! Secret Agent X's battle against The Tenth Circle concludes in the all-new final chapter of SECRET AGENT X - THE TENTH CIRCLE, a serialized novella releasing weekly-ish from Bobby Nash and BEN Books at http://www.patreon.com/bobbynash.

An idea about offering serialized chapters for sale piecemeal was floated. Anyone interested in just paying to read serialized novel posts? Let me know your thoughts. $1 a month would be a cheaper option.

We Love Reader Reviews! Big thanks to medal for the kind words and 4 star Amazon review of Cabbit Crossing Publishing's Enchanted Tales & Twisted Lore: Fairy Tales, Folklore, and Fables Reimagined - Volume 1 (The Crossing Genres Anthology Collection). You can read it HERE or below.
"Wildly imaginative and creative! This anthology collection was a delight for me to read! I love fairy tales, folklore, fables, myths...you name it. These short stories of reimagined versions of not only stories I grew up with, but ones I'd never read before, were so creative and imaginative. My favorites: * Dabria's Shadows, by Demi Michelle Schwartz, which was a really cool reimagining of a reaper. * A Baby's Love, by Michael La Ronn, which was a a fun take on changelings in the world of faeries. * The Quiet One, by Francis Fernandez, which told a very unique tale of gods and humans. I especially loved the bonus author notes at the end, where each author explained the inspiration for the story they wrote, as well as their process in pulling it all together. I love learning about a writer’s creative process! My only complaint about this one was that I came across a lot of misspelling and grammatical errors, which detracted from some of the stories for me. Had a little more care been taken in this area, I think I would provide a higher rating, as this is a big pet peeve of mine. I received an advance review copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily."
We Love Reader Reviews! Big thanks to Jim Razinha for the kind words and 4 star review of Cabbit Crossing Publishing's Enchanted Tales & Twisted Lore: Fairy Tales, Folklore, and Fables Reimagined - Volume 1. You can read it HERE or below.
"New takes on some tales you know, and some you might not! Some clever takes, some slight twisting, some major twisting and some quite surreal. At least one of the authors has a huge body of work… yet I’ve never heard of them, so exposure to a new audience is good. Some stories I liked, and a couple I really didn’t… but that’s my opinion and I won’t color another reader’s reception by disclosing which. (I received a review copy from BookSirens.) I am a fan of Author’s Notes that give a little background to the creation of the work, what may have been happening at the time, inspiration, etc. I like that some of these authors have given us some “Behind the Scenes” looks on their pieces."
Thanks to Tucker High School for inviting me to be part of TigerCon yesterday. The HS library puts on a con for students. I always have a great time at this event. I met some students who had writing and publishing questions. Great conversations.
